  24. Ahem, your analogy on the availability of good alternatives seems a
  25. bit crippled. Ever hear of Amiga Linux or Amiga NetBSD Unix? Works
  26. fine on my "oldish" A2000, I can tell you. On an Amiga, you can have
  27. an OS with all the features you seem to want - Unix - and it's here
  28. right now, and for free, including XWindows. Ok, you need a 32-bit
  29. CPU/Amiga, but 68000's were 'out' since 1991.

  32. some form of MP.

  39. I agree, but it's not like Amiga users can't have their cake
  40. and eat it. There's already an alternative on the Amiga if you really
  41. want to have an MP'd OS on your machine.
